General description

The RPSVS 207 Vacuum Stoppering Unit is used to insert and seat stoppers or plunger rods - into RTU single use syringes and vial which are typically presented in a Nest or Tub. This is called Syringe Stopper Insertion or Syringe Stoppering. But, our chamber is not limited to this application alone. Other applications include evacuation of glass tubes sealed with stoppers on both ends.

The Vacuum Stoppering Chamber consists of a Stainless Steel Vacuum Chamber, stainless steel tooling assemblies to secure and hold the RTU filled unidose containers and a separate PLC driven control box. The latter automatically controls the stoppering process in the chamber.

During operation the loaded syringe rack is put in the chamber; the stopper transfer punch plate is also placed in the chamber. Once initiated - the PLC driven Control box starts the cycles that are programmed to seal the stopper into the syringe; a vacuum is reached; and then released. At the end of the cycle - a pressure differential between the top and bottom of the stopper is established - thus providing a final seating of the stopper in the syringe. Depending on syringe size, volume fill and syringe tray format - the RPSVS207 can produce 6000 cph. Syringe tray formats can be 10x10, 6x5, 8x8, 10x16 to mention a few. 

The chamber is fully autoclavable — sterilization is easy. A wide selection of transfer punch plate assemblies, as well as custom assemblies, make this system versatile and adaptable to numerous applications. The RPS 207 with 30+ yrs serving clients - continues to be the original & legitimate Syringe Vacuum Stopper Insertion System in the marketplace today.
